However, our 1,000 Fill Power European White Goose Down is absolutely the finest down we've ever seen. We are one of the only North American manufacturers of 1,000 fill power down comforters and pillows.
Fill power is the number of cubic inches that one ounce of down will occupy. For our 1,000 fill power down, the producer must separate the down to keep only the largest possible clusters. With thousands of these incredibly large and soft clusters, which trap warm air to prevent heat loss, our 1,000 fill power comforter is not only warm but also much more lightweight and lofty than a lower fill power down. Our suppliers are some of the finest down producers around the world, ensuring Cuddledown's high quality. And we also use independent laboratories to test our down, making sure that the fill power meets our rigorous standards.
To make our 1,000 fill power comforters and pillows even more luxuriously lightweight, we encase the down in fine fabric shells made from 350 thread count 100% cotton batiste. Only one mill in the world weaves such a fine downproof fabric, and we're proud to have been the first in this country to craft comforters and pillows with it.
